We offer a variety of excursions, residential trips and activities for care experienced children and young people, each half-term / end-of-term school holidays and for cultural celebrations such as Halloween, St David’s Day, Diwali, Christmas, LGBTQ+ Pride and Chinese New Year. These activities are aimed at providing new experiences and positive memories for those who attend.
The activities are chosen by the children and young people at Roots and are organised and supervised by our team of qualified staff and volunteers.
The activities are usually fully funded through grant schemes that The Roots Foundation Wales applies to each year – which means we can offer most activities and trips free of charge. Due to staffing and transport capacity, numbers for each activity/trip are limited and places are given on a ‘first come first served’ basis.
